Activity 5
Teams that enjoy each other work better together. A party game brings laughter, light competition, and a shared experience that has nothing to do with deliverables. It is a shortcut to feeling comfortable around each other.
A shared game brings lightness and humor to the team. Make sure everyone can participate and no one feels exposed. Enjoy the time together.
The first four activities created the foundation: people who know each other's backgrounds, values, and purpose. Now the work of building Level 2 relationships begins in earnest. Play works because it lowers defenses and creates a space where personality surfaces without the pressure of professional performance. When someone laughs, takes a risk, or reveals a competitive streak in a game, you are learning about them as a whole person — not as a role. The conversations that follow a game often matter more than the game itself: people reference shared moments, develop inside jokes, and begin building the informal relationship layer that real collaboration depends on. Level 2 does not happen through one activity. It happens through many small moments like this one, accumulated over time.
Outcomes
I see how lightness, humor, and low stakes build the social glue that makes collaboration enjoyable.
