Plan a Joint Training

Activity 29

Learning together is one of the fastest ways to deepen a team bond. You see each other struggle, ask questions, and improve. It requires vulnerability — admitting what you don't know — which is only safe because of the trust and feedback culture you've built through Levels 1-6.

Theory

Learning together strengthens bonds. Choose a topic that truly affects you, and ensure shared reflection afterward. The key is that everyone takes something away.

Conflict often operates at the level of facts and structures before it becomes personal, and joint training builds the kind of informal trust that helps teams navigate those layers before they escalate. When you learn together, you practice vulnerability — admitting what you don't know — which deepens the psychological safety you established in earlier levels. The shared reflection afterward is as important as the content itself: it turns an individual learning experience into a team-level sensemaking process. This intervention is structured, but its effects on relationship quality are lasting.

Outcomes

I understand how shared learning builds competence and strengthens team cohesion.

Reflection Questions

  • What skill would I most like to develop with this team, not just alone?
  • How did we decide what to learn, and what does that process reveal about us?
  • What happened to our trust when we struggled with something new together?
