Activity 7
Good questions do the work for you. They create space for people to share at whatever depth feels right. You do not need a facilitated conversation. You just need a few questions worth answering.
Pick 3–5 questions that spark curiosity — about childhood, learning, or values. The answers foster mutual understanding. Focus on truly listening, not commenting.
Language constructs the team's world — what counts as respectful, successful, or honest is negotiated through everyday conversation. Well-chosen questions create a shared frame for that negotiation by inviting people to reflect on what matters to them. Building on the vulnerability practices from Activities 5 and 6, this exercise deepens mutual understanding through structured listening rather than reaction. Each answer is another step toward Level 2: you are learning about the person behind the role, and they are learning about you. The goal is not entertainment but the kind of understanding that reduces uncertainty and builds the trust that makes Level 2 relationships possible.
Outcomes
I see how well-chosen questions open up real conversation and build mutual understanding.
